Song From Molom

"Song From Molom/Cooley's Reel" is the 2nd track to be released from West Of Eden’s forthcoming album "Lighthousekeeping".

It’s a translation of the song "Visa I Molom" written by the legendary Swedish singer songwriter Alf Hambe who passed away in 2022. Alf Hambe’s lyrical style is quite unique and in many ways very local, but you can definitely sense his love for the Celtic music in his melodies. So translating the song to English and fusing it with a classic Irish reel is not such a big step that it first might seem.

Here West Of Eden truly shines a new light on a Swedish classic, proving once again that they are one of today’s most innovative bands on the Celtic music scene.

Fun fact! The lighthouse where West Of Eden recorded their new album is just a (long) stone throw away from where Alf Hambe lived and also very possibly wrote "Visa I Molom".
