"Future Soul" is the new studio album by the Tedeschi Trucks Band, widely acclaimed as the greatest live band in the world, led by Derek Trucks, one of the 3 leading guitarists of the new generation, and Susan Tedeschi, a singer and guitarist with 5 Grammy Award nominations.

In September 2025, the band released "Mad Dogs & Englishmen Revisited", a live recreation of Leon Russell and Joe Cocker's "Mad Dogs & Englishmen", originally performed live in 2015.

This new release marks their 6th studio album, arriving 4 years after the 2022 release of the ambitious 4 part album project "I Am the Moon", which is counted as a single album. While remaining firmly rooted in their musical foundations, the band expands its horizons even further on this work. Production is handled by Mike Elizondo, known for his genre crossing work with Brothers Osborne, Dr Dre, Twenty One Pilots, and Turnstile. The 12 member ensemble explores deeper grooves and richer textures than ever before.

The title track, "Future Soul", features fierce riffs and explosive vocals, proving that when the band fully commits, it can still unleash pure rock energy. "Crazy Cryin'" is a song overflowing with raw emotion, blending gospel style harmonies with blues grit in a way characteristic of Tedeschi Trucks Band. "Who Am I" carries an introspective tone, beautifully balancing Susan Tedeschi's soulful vocals with Derek Trucks' lyrical guitar playing.

Lyrically, the album reflects equally on introspection and visions of the future, confronting themes of identity, resilience, and hope in uncertain times. Elizondo's production preserves the organic interplay that defines the band's live magic, while adding subtle contemporary elements such as warm bass, layered percussion, and space for horn sections and backing vocals to shine.

"Future Soul" stands as both a reinvention and a reaffirmation, marking the vivid beginning of a new chapter for one of America's premier bands.
