Australian indie folk songstress Isabel Rumble releases the 2nd single, "Better Half Of Me", from her upcoming album. The dusky and tender track offers a poignant reflection on love’s quiet departure, while setting the stage for her 2nd album, "Hold Everything Lightly", due for release on October 24th, 2025.

Rumble has quietly carved out a reputation as one of Australia’s most affecting new voices. Her music has resonated far beyond her home shores with debuts in Europe and the UK over the past year.

"Better Half Of Me" is built on soft acoustic guitar and alongside her unmistakably intimate vocal presence, the song carries a quiet strength. Rumble states that, “in the process of writing 'Better Half Of Me', I realised that real love doesn’t disappear. Its roots can remain entwined beneath our feet and continue to nourish through cycles to come”.

At once tender and resolute, "Better Half Of Me" inhabits the moment of love's departure, without bitterness, but rather offering space for grace, acceptance, and renewal, a welcome balm for those navigating the complexities of love and loss.

The single is the 2nd glimpse of Rumble’s forthcoming album "Hold Everything Lightly" recently announced to be released on October 24th, 2025.

Following the release, Isabel Rumble will bring "Hold Everything Lightly" to European and Australian stages over the next year, weaving her songs into poignant live performances that invite audiences into softness, stillness, and heart connection.

Says Isabel :

“This song was written just after releasing my 1st album, in a liminal space between projects. At the time I was particularly inspired by American folk artists Courtney Marie Andrews and Maya de Vitry whose vulnerability around love and heartbreak let me access something of the same within my own writing. My songs were starting to turn more inwards, very much reflecting my personal life at the time and the many transitions that were happening as I began to move into a music career. It was also the first time I had properly embraced the season of winter, whilst living for a brief but transformative time in the Blue Mountains in June and July of 2023. The wintry mountains held my internal gaze as I began to let myself be a little more vulnerable in my writing, delving into the internal landscape of love and letting go. My producer Heath Cullen and I really heard pedal steel and I am very lucky to have Ben Franz of The Waifs weave his beautiful playing into this song.”
