Having recently returned with his 1st new music in more than 2 decades, Bernie Leadon, co-founder of Eagles, has since followed that up with news of a full studio album. Titled "Too Late To Be Cool", it will be released on October 10th, 2025. The announcement came with the debut of another song, “Just a Little”. It joins the previously debuted “Too Many Memories”, which Leadon gave a music video.

"Too Late To Be Cool" comes 21 years after Leadon’s previous record, 2004’s "Mirror", and was tracked live to analog tape. The songs were written by Leadon and produced and engineered by Glyn Johns, with participating musicians including Glenn Worf on bass, Greg Morrow on drums, and Tony Harrell on keyboards.

Bernie Leadon says :

“I love this album. We took time to make sure the songs were in good keys for my voice. The 3 piece band and myself were all sitting in the same room, or where we could see one another well. Many were 1st, or very early takes. I even sang live on about 3 songs. Of course, sonically Glyn Johns made it sound superb, seemingly without effort. ‘I’m only doing what I’ve always done', he said. That’ll do, I said. We recorded all analog, vintage mics through a vintage API recording console onto 2 inch 16 track on Ampex ATR 124, mixed to half inch analog tape, tape delay to EMT 140 echo plate. Mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling. I hope you all enjoy it. Hope you find something that sticks with you, in a good way. I’m so grateful we can all still do this, sincerely. Vaya Con Dios”.
