On Monday, May 29th, 2023, it’s time for Lazy Afternoon’s brand new single. "The Blind One".

The song was written by the amazing Elvira Hall who sings and plays violin on the song. She is backed up by the brilliant Cristina Säfsten. This is a flirtation with the bluegrass, oldtime and americana genre. And bring Lazy Afternoon back into the country groove.

"The Blind One" is the 1st of a bunch of planned singles that will be released over the next 3 years.

The band will also take part in the Tiveden Americana Festival this year, on June 17th.

"The Blind One" is produced by Bo Ahlbertz, and mixed and mastered by Robin Larsson.

”I am proud to work with a band that consists of 4 women and 3 men with an age range from 20 all the way up to 75. It gives a wonderful dynamic in the band”, says Bo Ahlbertz, the band’s founder and leader.

Lazy Afternoon's music ranges from country, over the broader concept of americana, to folk rock with roots in the UK and Sweden. With many singing voices in the band, a rich flora of expression is given, as well as a lovely harmonies.

That the band has been compared to Steeleye Span, The Band and Joan Baez speak volumes for both instrumental and vocal quality.
