The Book Of Judith

“'The Book of Judith' draws on my love of traditional balladry, but puts a woman in the role of hero rather than victim. I first encountered Judith in a painting at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, which led me to seek out her story in the Apocrypha. The song retells how she saves her people by beheading an invading general. It’s the first single from 'Noise & Fantastics'." ~ Rachel Sumner

"The Book Of Judith" is the first single, out now, from Rachel Sumner's forthcoming album, "Noise & Fantastics", to be released on February 12th, 2027.
