Bang Your Drum (Go To War)

"Bang Your Drum (Go To War)" is a response to these unsettling times of global military up scaling and aggression. It’s a reminder to us as fathers, sons and brothers, that we have a choice, and more than that, a responsibility. Us common people never win wars, only the rich and powerful do, and only because we fight the battles for them. A new take on John Lennon’s "Imagine" if you will.

It’s a typical Sigvard & The Bonewhispers song built on 3 chords and a clear message. The dynamic arrangement, starting small and quiet with the piano and working its way up to a crescendo of harmonies, drums and strings of all kinds is how the band likes to present their music, especially live. It’s about the story and every musician gets their chance to illustrate it.

The video made by Bojan Petrovski contains footage of soldiers mixed with video clips of Jonas’ sons. A simple, but powerful, reminder that all armies consists of men (mostly) who once were sweet, innocent little boys.
