"Insanitia" is a play on words, like walking a tightrope through the madness of this time we live in, that becomes a bridge between America and Italy.
Eileen Rose is a legacy artist who has been honing her craft for a long time. Her career path began in London with several acclaimed releases on the legendary Rough Trade label, then continued through her hometown of Boston, leading to a decade of success in Music City, Nashville, TN. There, her classic, folk rock, songwriting picked up colors of country and soul, pure elements that are the essence of what we call today americana.
Eileen Rose searched for her roots, right to the bone by recording her latest album, "Insanitia", in the land that her father left as a child to migrate to America, Italy.
Eileen has created a rare, transoceanic album which boasts an incredible roster of extraordinary musicians. This shining list includes her lifelong companion, the legendary Rich Gilbert on guitars and pedal steel (Uncle Tupelo, Steve Wynn, Wanda Jackson), Texan violinist Carrie Rodriguez, Bob Dylan collaborators Charlie McCoy and Scarlet Rivera, and even a duet with beloved Tuscan singer songwriter and actor Bobo Rondelli.
"Insanitia" alternates between Eileen’s original songs and deft interpretations of classics by the likes of John Prine, Los Lobos and Ivan Graziani. One standout track is Eileen’s interpretation of the 60’s hit, "Ma Che Freddo Fa", by Italian siren Nada, which becomes an infectiously cool power surf straight out of a Tarantino flick. In typical Eileen Rose style, the album is an eclectic mix of pure, rocking fun, alongside deep water, gut punching songs that dive straight to the head and heart, grip tight and won’t let go. With this stunning new record, Eileen and her group of masterful musicians, have created a beautiful, romantic bridge of memories and friendship between America and her beloved Italia that will surely capture hearts on both sides of the ocean.
The album is produced by Eileen Rose herself, along with The Legendary Rich Gilbert, and the extraordinary Italian singer songwriter and cultural maverick, Andrea Parodi.
1st single from the new album "Insanitia", "Dusty Bones", out February 6th, 2026.
